Plus took on the exciting task of re-imagining the brand system for the ‘70s hit ‘The Electric Company’. To bring back the soulful, funky show for today’s tech-savvy, media-saturated kids, we created eye candy to get their attention and tools to engage them.
In addition to establishing the brand identity, we created a transmedia campaign that included an Emmy-nominated show opener, teaching aids, and a magazine. The magazine features customizable content and a unique approach to teaching kids to read. Shortly after the re-launch in January 2009, The Electric Company was one of the highest viewed television shows on PBS.
